I have never heard of an abortion pill! That's amazing, and certainly opens the door for marginalized women everywhere. I guess my concern with that method is a potential lack of support for the woman during the miscarriage, and after the fact. Are there resources for these women?

It's a great question and expresses exactly my first concern for a woman taking the pills especially in a state, say, like Texas, where abortion is banned after six weeks. If a complication arises--fever, severe bleeding, abdominal pain that isn't relieved with painkillers or continues for 2-3 days--she should go to either a clinic (if possible) or to the hospital. If it's a state where there could be legal action against her, she should say that she is miscarrying as there is no way to detect abortion pills if they are dissolved in her cheek. There's a Miscarriage and Abortion hotline a woman can call to get expert advice https://www.mahotline.org

It sounds like the key is spreading the word that the pills exist and educating people on how to use them properly and on what to do if a complication arises. I was blown away by all the credible ways to obtain the pills. But like you said, you want to know that you can get help without fear if a complication arises. I want to look more into women who have had criminal charges brought against them for ending their own pregnancy. In the online event I attended, one lawyer mentioned that there are 24 women right now facing charges for terminating their own pregnancies.
