Whatever your stance on abortion, you should listen to this

(if you haven’t already)

This week on The New York Times podcast “The Daily,” host Sabrina Tavernise interviews medical professionals who provide abortion care in the United States. You can listen to this 40-minute episode from The Daily’s website, on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify—or wherever you get your podcast. 

It’s one of the most moving pieces of journalism I’ve encountered on the topic of abortion, especially in light of Roe V. Wade potentially being overturned within the next forty-five days.

Last week, Tavernise interviewed anti-abortion activists for The Daily.  You should listen to that episode too. Just as my husband used to occasionally listen to Rush Limbaugh to gain insight into what the other side is arguing, I think it’s important to  attempt  to understand the reasoning and positions of those with whom you disagree, even—and especially—when you disagree with them wholeheartedly.
